Sequential DeMark® Indicator

The DeMark Sequential looks for trend exhaustion by counting a sequence of price bars. Here's how it works:

Buy Setup (Trend Exhaustion Down):

  • A Buy Setup occurs when there are 9 consecutive closes lower than the close four bars earlier.

  • After the 9, we watch for a 13-count, which signals a potential reversal.

Sell Setup (Trend Exhaustion Up):

  • A Sell Setup is when there are 9 consecutive closes higher than the close four bars earlier.

  • A full signal completes with a 13, just like the buy side.

🔍 What to check:

  • Is Bitcoin showing a completed 9-count or 13-count?

    • If yes → trend exhaustion may be near.

  • Was there a reaction after the 9? Sometimes price consolidates or reverses.

  • Is price above or below the 9-candle high/low? That can determine confirmation or failure.

🧠 Example interpretation:

  • If BTC just completed a 13 sell signal after a long uptrend, that’s a warning sign of potential reversal.

  • If we’re at bar 8 of a buy setup, you might expect one more day down before a bounce.
